I totally used to work at this bank, it’s not something I ever really thought about when I was working there.  The girl that the robber came up was there when I was there too, she’s only a few years older than me. Something like this happened at another branch that I worked at too but instead of asking for the money the woman scammed the girl into giving it to her. It’s all kinda crazy.

Times-Union Staff WriterSYRACUSE - A Syracuse bank was robbed Wednesday afternoon, and the suspect is still at large.The Farmers State Bank Syracuse branch, 411 S. Huntington St., was robbed around 1:51 p.m. Wednesday. According to a Syracuse Police Department report, a white male entered the bank and handed the teller a bag and told the teller to put the money in the bag.

After the teller handed the suspect the bag back with money, the suspect fled the bank on foot. No weapons were displayed during the robbery and the amount the suspect stole is undetermined.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 foot, 9 inches and 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shows with colored gloves.

He also was wearing a white ball cap with an oval logo on the front and a red bandanna under the cap, with a long white costume beard and dark sunglasses.

Witnesses currently are being interviewed.

The Syracuse Police Department was assisted by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and the Milford and Winona Lake police departments.
